Science roadshow

                                                     Science Roadshow
Last week on Tuesday we went to the science roadshow. When we went inside it was full with lots of science experiments. My favourite one was the one with a little sphere ball that you can roll and then next to them their are some scents of fruits or juice and flowers such as coconut, orange juice, daisies, sunflowers and others. So we had to roll our finger on the ball and on the ball was the scent and we had to try and guess what scent it was and their was lots of buttons with the fruit or juice and we had to press the button and if it was correct it would flash with a green light and if it was incorrect it would show you the answer and the answer you picked will be the one that is red. So when we all sat down at the beginning we were learning about sound. As you may know their is high pitch of sound which is kind of squeaky and a low pitch sound is like the sound of a truck.

Tikanga Moari

                          Tikanga Maori

This week we were focusing on Tikanga Maori. Tikanga Maori mean Maori culture. So that means we were learning about Maori culture. To be honest it was really fun. We learnt the song that all of you maybe familiar with is the song Aotearoa by Stan Walker. It was my first time listening to that song but I got used to it really quick. It's stuck in my head!!. We looked at the video and the lyrics of the video. What made it tricky for me was all of those words that are seriously like tongue twisters. After practising it a several times we started making Poi's and Rakau sticks. I started of with making Rakau sticks and what I needed was 2 or 3 or more magazines and some tape
